Mirada Adentro began as pure abstraction.

I started painting without the intention of creating a figure. During the process, I closed my eyes and searched for a moment of serenity, trying to feel that stillness before bringing it onto the canvas.

Then, two closed eyes began to emerge from the abstract forms.

I followed them intuitively, and little by little, the face revealed itself.

Created with oil, bronze, and gold leaf on canvas, the painting combines expressive textures, warm earth tones, deep shadows, and metallic details that respond beautifully to changing light.

The figure does not look outward. Her gaze turns inward.

Mirada Adentro is about that quiet moment when we close our eyes, silence the outside world, and reconnect with what is happening within.
